Dictionary of Vocational Psychology

Personality

Refers to one of two things: the impression that an individual makes on others (related to reputation); or the structures inside the mind that lead an individual to have particular impressions on others (related to identity). Most personality theorists assume the existence of traits that are the key elments in these structures.
