Dictionary of Vocational Psychology

Paragon

An individual whom one respects greatly because of his or her voctional accomplishments. Some individuals place the portraits of their paragons on he walls of the office in which they work. Paragons seem to be especially important to individuals in creative or scientific occuations. Some research has investigated the relationship between the number of paragons, and the historical recency of paragons, to vocational productivity and innovation.
