Motile Workers

Individuals with a preference for physical mobility, i.e., to travel regularly as part of his or work. Contrasted with sessile workers. Jobs and occupations may also be characterized in terms of the motile-sessile distinction. The motile-sessile dimension is related to some other commonly used worker and occupational characteristics, such as Holland's types. In Holland's system, the Realistic type is more motile.
