Biodata

Life history and background demographic data used for purposes of predicting vocational choice or adjustment. Examples of biodata include early life experiences, family of origin variables such as number of siblings, hobbies, grades during schooling, work history, although any items related to life history might be used. Many researchers also refer to biologically related variables, such as sex. Although exploratory factor analysis is often used to create biodata scales, some biodata researchers prefer scales developed through rational methods.
